This is a typeface made using different combinations of the cut out shapes above. They were then layered between some graph paper and green tracing paper to create the luminous appearance.
This is a current exhibition at the Royal Albert Hall that documents street style from the 1950's to now. Last night I went to a lecture given by Ted Polhemus who has written a book to go with the exhibition, hosted by PYMCA.

I have been sewing dresses by hand for a couple of days now and I'm getting that familiar throbbing feeling in my thumb and finger.
I know that a thimble is designed to stop this from happening but I cant work out how to sew with one, without creating a drape that could be compared to what a granny's ankle looks like in a pair of baggy tights.
